You are my hero!!
As I am writing this, I can only type w/one finger on my rt. hand (I was a high-speed/100 wpm transcription typist) because PEG-Intron has permanently crippled me!
After approx. 4 mo treatment, it caused major inflammation (SED 140) and caused near rupture of all my major tendons in my arms and legs. I can not open my hands, lift my arms over my head, or walk correctly. The damage is permanent. I have medical documentation and testimony. I have been in contact w/a woman who was involved w/clinical trials, who says they would not document any info re: serious side-effects and had absolutely no follow-up w/patients.
This is my mission: I have been trying to find a law firm brave enough and rich enough to file suit for my injuries. I was NEVER warned that I could become permanently crippled! I don't actually have any blood markers for auto-immune disease - so what is it?? I am coming up on my statute!! The date I was withdrawn from treatment was June 19, 2002 - which is the date I have been told would qualify as the date I was injured by interferon. I believe it could be when I actually realized that this injury was permanent!
Anyway - I cannot stand the thought of Schering getting away with crippling me for life, without having to pay for it! I feel that if I cannot file suit before my statute deadline, that I may slip into a dark hole I may not ever climb out of!!
PLEASE HELP ME FIND A LAWYER OR GET ALL OF US TOGETHER FOR A CLASS ACTION!! The 5 attorneys I met with say I have an excellent case - they just don't have the time and financial resources for David v Goliath!!
